Tirta dikenal sebagai sosok yang rajin menabung dan gigih. Sejak muda Tirta memiliki prinsip, menabung dan ulet. Sebelum memulai bertani, saat remaja Tirta sempat bekerja di pabrik sweter yang berada di Bandung pada tahun 1989.

Saya bisa menggarap 15 hektare lebih jelang musim tanam," kata Tirta saat ditemui detikcom di tempat kerjanya di Desa Biyawak, Kecamatan Jatitujuh, Kabupaten Majalengka, Jawa Barat, Selasa (22/1/2019).

Hasil dari kegigihannya itu, Tirta pun mengembangkan usaha pertaniannya dengan menyewa sejumlah sawah. Saat ini, luasan sawah yang digarap Tirta sekitar 11.000 meter.

"Sekarang saya mendapat kepercayaan dari bos saya. Saya jaga perumahan di sini. Sering bolak-balik Jakarta, kalau menyewa mobil mahal," katanya.

Uang yang sudah Tirta tabung digunakan untuk membeli Toyota Rush. Termasuk uang receh senilai Rp 40 juta yang sudha ia kumpulkan selama tujuh tahun.

"Alhamdulillah, kata daelernya boleh pakai uang receh. Rencana mobilnya dikirim pada 6 Februari nanti," katanya.

Mobil anyar Tirta itu seharga Rp 261.850.000. Dari total itu, sekitar Rp 40 juta dibayar menggunakan uang logam pecahan Rp 500 dan Rp 1.000. Sisanya menggunakan uang kertas. Uniknya, Tirta dan Mimin membawa uang recehannya itu ke dealer Toyota Auto 2000 Jatiwangi, Kabupaten Majalengka, Jawa Barat pada Jumat (25/1/2019).

Sales Consultan Auto 2000 Jatiwangi-Majalengka, Beni Sinambung mengatakan uang recahan milik Tirta itu sudah disetorkan ke bank pada Senin kemarin.

"Saat ini bank sedang menghitung jumlah recehan yang disetorkan Pak Tirta. Jumlahnya itu sekitar Rp 40 juta, untuk sisanya Rp 221.850.00 itu dibayar pakai uang kerta," kata Beni saat ditemui detikcom di kantornya, Selasa (29/1/2019). (lth/lth/detik.com)
